Ellen Hansen is known for creating work that is both natural and dreamlike, drawing on a depth of emotion and connecting to energetic subtleties in her subjects.

She is currently working between Los Angeles, the Mountain West, and New York.

In addition to being a photographer since the ripe age of 14, Ellen now shares her vision through writing, clothing, and intuitively supporting others in their creative process.

She was raised by the sagebrush soaked foothills of Boise, Idaho, where she visits regularly to birth a long term body of personal work centered around inner knowing, lineage reclamation, and Earth as teacher.

Her work began as an instinct to engage with the world around her, which evolved into a life giving force that reshaped her life completely. Photography created a path of reconnection to her body, intuition, and purpose.

She relates to light as both external and internal, and sees beauty as a recognition of the source of all that is.
