01
pre-session planning
Once I receive your session fee payment and contract signature, you are officially on the books! Then, the fun part begins!
We will start with a questionnaire so I can get to know you, as well as a Pinterest board so I can see your favorite photographic styles and locations. I already have pre made boards with my work for you to pin from.
When it comes to locations, props, and styling, the sky is the limit! I often incorporate pets, sports, instruments, and unique to you locations, including your home or backyard.
I have dozens of beautiful locations throughout the valley and am always willing to explore and try somewhere new.
About a month before your session, we will meet via Zoom to plan out any other details, answer any questions you have, and go over collection pricing and samples so the ordering session is easier. If we are in the same city, we can do this in person, COVID willing.
You will receive a comprehensive outfit guide and session prep tips before your session, too!

the photoshoot
It's your big day! If your session includes professional makeup, we will start either at your home or at the salon (depending on the artist we are working with).
Then I'll go over your outfits and help you style them. As for the shoot itself, I'll lead the way and help you feel relaxed and comfortable enough that you'll think you're on an adventure with a friend! We will spend time playing with the natural light and our surroundings to get a wide varity of beautiful images. I will cover all our bases and get the classic portraits, but mostly I will just photograph you being you in a creative way! Don't worry about having to "pose," I have you covered.
Although I usually carpool with my clients, due to COVID we will likely drive separate. Outdoor locations allow for space + air, making it relatively risk free, and I will wear a mask + keep enough distance for you to feel comfortable, but close enough to get all the shots we need!

premier gallery reveal + ordering session and print delivery
Two weeks after your session, we will meet at your home or via Zoom for your gallery reveal and ordering session. You will see a slideshow gallery of all of your best images, lightly edited. From there, you will pick your favorites, and we will decide on your final Print Collection order. Please note that your order can only be placed during the reveal session.
After payment has been received in full, your order will go into production! Ordered digital images will receive a final round of editing and are available for download 7 days after payment. Then you can start sharing on social media and sending to family! Yay! Print item turnaround time depends on what you order. Most pieces take no longer than 14 days, however, albums take about a month including the design process. When all of your products are ready, I will personally deliver them to you!

As a full service experience, we work with you from start to finish, resulting in a printed art collection. Although digital images are great to share online, the magic of a print is undeniable, allowing your family to experience the joy of your images every day in your home. We have done extensive research to partner with the highest quality labs available exclusively to professional photographers. We believe your images deserve to shine to the fullest potential and to last a life time. We are proud to offer museum level quality that will do just that.
We offer albums (client favorite), fine art prints, metal prints, gallery wrap canvas, custom graduation announcements, and mini polaroid prints! All prints include a matching digital file and all collections include extra digital images so you have plenty to keep on your devices + share on social media.

about the artist
Ellen, a Boise, Idaho native, has been naturally pulled towards seeing life through a lens since she was a child and got her start regularly documenting her life, family, and friends at 14. She started her business as a sophomore at Borah High School and has worked with 150+ graduates over the past 8 years, gaining national recognition for her style with multiple publications in Senior Style Guide, as well as other features.
She is known for creating images that are both authentic and inspiringly dream like, influenced by Idaho's beautiful landscapes and stunning golden light.
Ellen is also an advertising and editorial photographer. Her experience with fashion and storytelling guarantees a one of a kind edge to your senior session.
